Shilpa Kapila,  Social Networking Specialist

 

 

Shilpa is a software engineer with a strong interest in public relations and marketing. She earned her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from India and started her career as a software engineer with Infosys Technologies and later went on working with IBM.  In her IT career she has worked in global teams across locations such as UK , Switzerland, and India. She moved to the United States in 2008  and currently is pursuing a career in higher education and is currently training in Scranton,PA. In addition to that, Shilpa is volunteering at American Red Cross and is a key  member of their marketing team handling the promotional activities for its Scranton chapter. With a strong insipration from her father who is a founding member of a non-profit  catering to rural upliftment in India, she developed a strong sense of commitment towards the betterment of community.  Shilpa joins The FreeGirl Foundation because of that very commitment as she has always wanted to be involved with an organization with a strong social message of empowering women. Shilpa contributes her time and talents to online social networking and marketing initiatives within The FreeGirl Foundation and we are honored to have her involved.
